La piel del volcán
Raquel, an archaeologist, is about to present the discovery of an exceptional archaeological site in the Gran Canarian municipality of Valsequillo: two bodies from periods almost five centuries apart have been found buried in the same place. Based on this discovery, the film moves between the end of the conquest of the Canary Islands, the post-war period under Franco, and the present day to reconstruct the lives of those who remained hidden beneath the earth. La piel del volcán intertwines three historical narratives in a reflection on memory, identity and the wounds that run through the history of the archipelago.
